Easter Seals Month

As we progress through March, so does our 2024 Easter Seals Month. It has been an amazing month so far, and we hoped to raise awareness and funds for Easter Seals NL and our programs and services for people with disabilities in the province.

The month began with the announcement of our 2024 Easter Seals NL Ambassador, Andrew Woodrow, at the Government House. He presented the 2024 Seals to our Patron Her Honour The Honourable Joan Marie Aylward, Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland. The celebrations continued until after dark, and Government House was lit up in red to support Easter Seals NL.

Across the province, throughout our beautiful cities and towns. council members declared March Easter Seals Month. We would like to thank Town of Torbay, City of St. John’s, Town of Paradise, City of Mount Pearl, Town of Conception Bay South and Minister Paul A Pike Department of Children, Seniors and Social Development
Government of Newfoundland and Labrador.

On March 4th, we launched the 2024 Paper Egg Campaign, a national campaign that takes place across the country. Retailers all across the province came on board to sell Paper Eggs in-store, from Happy Valley-Goose Bay to Port aux Basques to Carbonear and the Avalon!

Following the launch of the Paper Egg campaign, we will be participating in the Newfoundland Rogues game for Inclusion night on March 21st. Our Dansability participants will perform, and we will be selling 50/50 tickets from March 21st to 24th.

We are incredibly grateful for the support, which enables us to inspire, engage, and maximize opportunities for people with disabilities in the province. Thank you to everyone who has made this month a success.
