In the event of extreme weather conditions or weather warnings, please be sure to check our Facebook page before heading to your weekly program.
Our decision will be based on the following:
Day Time Closure: If a school district is closed, Easter Seals programs will be canceled;
Evening Closure: Evening programs may be canceled due to weather and a decision will be made by 5:00 pm that day;
Program Cancellation: For program cancellation, a decision will be made and posted 1.5 – 2 hours prior to start time.
For any cancellation less than 1.5 hours prior to the start time, participants registered in the program will be contacted directly.
In the event of unforeseen circumstances that would cause cancellation immediately before or during a program, an email will be sent to all participants.
Activities such as swimming or sledge hockey happen in locations outside Easter Seals House. If these facilities close Easter Seals has no authority and must follow directions from the facilities. This type of closure could include a power outage, building closure, lockdowns, etc.
PLEASE NOTE: Emergency cancellations are the only time you will receive an email regarding cancellations. All other cancellations will be posted on our Facebook page and/or groups outlined above. Please check these places before heading to regularly scheduled programs for any possible changes in schedule.
