Gavin Baggs

Persons with disabilities in Newfoundland and Labrador have a new advocate and role model: 13 year-old Paradise resident Gavin Baggs. Gavin was installed as the Ambassador for 2021 on March 1st 2021.

Gavin’s plans for the future involve playing Wheelchair Basketball or Para Hockey at a school that offers these programs. Gavin’s goal in sport is to play for the National Team in one of these parasports. Gavin also plans to go to the University of Illinois to get a Nursing Degree.

Growing up Gavin participated in sledge hockey, and wheelchair basketball, and swimming, is now a Sledge volunteer for our Easter Seals NL parasport recreation programs.
