An Accessible & Inclusive Space

Phase III will include constructing an outdoor rink/hardcourt surface area with team benches, transparent glass, ice-level doors, and an accessible viewing area with bleachers. It will also include a 2600-square-foot outbuilding used to store recreational and adaptive equipment for our Equipment Loan Program and Linda’s Equipment Crossing, which is free province-wide.

Once fully constructed our park will be the biggest inclusive and accessible park East of Toronto. There are countless public green spaces and walking trails throughout St. John’s where many residents can enjoy the outdoors at no cost on their own time. Easter Seals NL simply wishes to extend this concept to be able to reach the disabled community, by creating a park that is truly for everyone.
