Grand Opening of Phase II of our Park

On Wednesday, June 23rd, Easter Seals NL celebrated the Grand Opening of Phase II of our inclusive park, which includes a beautiful pavillion, sensory gardens, BBQ event area, and firepit. Joined by distinguished guests, our amazing donors, Board of Directors, staff, and participants, we recognized those who helped us make our vision come to life in support of breaking down barriers in our province.

And that includes you!

We want to thank all of the people of Newfoundland and Labrador who have supported our Luxury Cabin Lottery campaign, which has contributed to funding Phase II of our park. We could not have made this momentous step without your support. Of course, it was not only funds from the Luxury Cabin Lottery; it was also because of the following generous donors that our vision was able to come to life:

Our Platinum level donors:

  • The Government of Newfoundland and Labrador
  • The Government of Canada
  • Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency
  • City of St. John’s
  • Dominion
  • Newfoundland Labrador Hydro

Our Gold level donors:

  • Pippy Insurance and Financial Services
  • Donovan Homes
  • Pennecon
  • The Sobey Foundation
  • TD Bank
  • Trades NL

Our Silver level donors:

  • The Wilds
  • Jeremy Cross Memorial Fund
  • The Claudia Cup
  • United Way Newfoundland and Labrador
  • Barrier Buster – Rick Hansen Foundation
  • Albert E. Hickman Family Foundation

And our Bronze level donors:

  • Canada Life
  • VOCM Cares
  • The Narrows Club
  • Canopy Growth
  • Tract consulting

THANK YOU for your generosity in making this vision possible, and thank you to all of our many square footage donors who contributed as well. We proudly recognize you all on our Donor Board (see picture below).

We would also like to recognize Shanneygannock, who has supported our organization for many years and continues to come out to play with participants. Thank you so much for joining us on such an incredible day!

Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 restrictions, we had to follow strict guidelines and were unable to make this event open to the public. However, we encourage you to stop by the Easter Seals House and check out this incredible new space. To see more photos from the event, please visit our Facebook page.
