Opportunities Fund for Persons with Disabilities Employer Highlight!

Thank you St. Michaels Print Shop for your support of inclusive hiring!

EMPLOYER HIGHLIGHT:

St. Michael’s Printshop located in St. John’s, has been a major part of the growing network of non-profit printmaking studios across Canada for 47 years. They help promote, develop and preserve printmaking as an art form and as a sustainable community-building endeavour.

In creating an inclusive environment for all artists, St. Michael’s Printshop also supports inclusive hiring.

With the support of the Opportunities Fund for Persons with Disabilities program through Easter Seals NL, St. Michael’s Printshop has been able to hire qualified employees who have helped with the success of the Printshop.

By utilizing the Opportunities Fund, St. Michael’s Printshop has been able to reinvest into their community, increase their programming and assists them in keeping qualified employees who play a key role in the future of St. Michael’s Printshop.

“Without the Opportunities Fund, these aspirations may only exist as aspirations. With the continued support of this program, our aspirations may become our reality in the future” comments Andrew Testa, Chair of St. Michael’s Printshop.

Easter Seals NL, as the Community Coordinator for the Opportunities Fund for Persons with Disabilities, is proud to support persons with disabilities in the workforce and employers who value inclusive hiring. If you are hiring, please consider hiring a person with a disability! Our Career and Educational Services department is here to help!
