Joanne has been involved with Easter Seals NL’s Opportunities Fund for Persons with Disabilities program since 2018. Through the wage subsidy program, she was able to obtain and maintain employment with the Marystown Heritage Museum in a research and administrative role. With the announcement of career support funding available through the Opportunities Fund, Joanne reached out as she had an opportunity to obtain training to become a certified museum curator however she did not have a computer to complete the course at home.
Easter Seals NL was able to purchase a computer to assist Joanne take the next step in her career!

Jane and her family also sent us a note to thank our Opportunities Fund for Persons with Disabilities staff for the assistance in purchasing a new laptop! She will be using it to continue building life skills that will help her prepare to one day enter the job market!
