TD Secure Futures

Secure Futures is an 8-week financial literacy program for individuals identifying with disabilities who wish to become more financially literate and independent; and feel more confident and empowered when making financial decisions.

Experience a comprehensive learning journey through presentations both from our experienced facilitators and our expert guest presenters from RBC, Credit Counselling, CPA Canada, CU Financial Management, IG Wealth Management, Service Canada, and more!

Topics will include a wide range of financial basics such as budgeting, smart shopping, emotional spending, fraud protection, credit and debt, and many more.

Secure Futures Caregiver Sessions are designed for caregivers of individuals identifying with disabilities, on building financial security for you and your loved one. Learn practical tools from financial experts to strengthen you and your loved one’s financial future, ask questions, and get expert advice!

Topics include: 

  • Disability Tax Credit (DTC)
  • RRSP and other savings options
  • Education
  • Canadian Dental Care Plan
  • Programs and Benefits and more!

Petra also hosts free tax clinics in March and April, where she can complete tax returns for individuals who have a modest income and a simple tax situation.
