Creative Expressions Music Program

Find New Means of Expression

Easter Seals NL’s Creative Expressions Music Program offers an opportunity for participants to create and share music based on their interests and abilities. This program is designed for individuals to express themselves through music, whether that’s during a private session or within a group session.

Whether you are passionate about playing different instruments, eager to explore movement and creativity, or happy to jam out together, we have the perfect session for you. Choose the one that best aligns with your individual goals and dive into a fun, engaging and supportive environment designed to help you grow and thrive in your musical journey!

Our instructor, Elizabeth McNeill, has many years of experience working in the music industry and with people with disabilities. She always brings amazing energy and enthusiasm to our sessions.

We are excited to announce we have TWO sessions of Easter Seals Choir this Spring! The first session is for ages 16 and under, the second session is for 16+. Embark on a musical journey where you’ll learn the art of singing, mastering rhythm, and fostering teamwork. This vibrant ensemble is perfect for those eager to explore the joy of collective music-making and make new friends along the way! Participants will not only develop their vocal skills, but also begin to learn musical concepts and the power of unity. With potential opportunities to perform, our choir has promises of being an enriching and exciting experience for all. Come sing with us!

Musical Trails and Tales

Led by fiddler Evelyn Osborne, this unique experience invites you to explore the rich cultural traditions of Newfoundland and beyond through music, storytelling, and movement. Together, we will sing, dance, and move to the rhythms of Newfoundland folk music as well as sounds from other parts of the world through guest artists who specialize in different cultural arts.

Whether you’re eager to sing a song, tell a tale, or create your own dance to music, this session offers a welcoming space for everyone. If you prefer to simply sit back, relax, and enjoy the experience, that’s perfectly fine too!

Come, connect with diverse cultures, and let the music and stories take you on a journey!

This program is partnered with Soundbone Traditional Arts Foundation’s Arts for All Program.

Programs that change lives.

  • Making a Difference for Over 80 Years

Easter Seals Newfoundland and Labrador is a charitable organization that has operated in NL since 1937; it is dedicated to maximizing the abilities and enhancing the lives of people with disabilities.

  • Stories of Success

“When my son was younger he and his friends used to play all the time. As his friends grew up they started to play stand-up sports and he began to feel left out. This all changed when he found Easter Seals. Here he feels included with life-long friends. I can’t describe the pride I feel when I see him laughing at wheelchair basketball.”
