Program Advisory Committee

Our final Program Advisory Committee meeting of the year brought some great reflection and feedback for the past year. Our 2025/2026 season is off to a great start with record-high registration numbers. We are so excited to see the growth in participants and the quality of our program increasing.

We were happy to discuss the development of the recreation team with the Coordinator. Taking on their more specialized roles is really increasing the quality of programs in our organization. We are looking forward to the possibility of revitalizing some of our past family events in the new year and continuing to see such great engagement in programs.

With record high registration and the reality of program capacity and waitlist, the committee discussed how to ensure programs and staff delivery time was being used to the best of its ability.

We were happy to hear the Recreation Department is working closely with GoBus to ensure better communication and smoother pick up/drop offs for participants. We have a few challenges early in the year and were able to resolve them for a better timing of rides for participants!

Survey responses continue to be a challenge to receive. The committee had discussed some ideas and potential methods to hopefully gain more feedback to ensure we are meeting the needs of our community. Please keep an eye out through email, planner and during programs for an opportunity to provide feedback.

Our committee now consists of 16 members, representing a balanced mix of parents, participants, staff, and board members.
