Day Camp

Easter Seals NL Summer Day Camp is an inclusive camp for participants with varying disabilities. Our camp program activities are designed for school-age children. All camp programs are adapted to fit and meet the needs of all campers to have an environment to play, learn and grow together!

Easter Seals NL Summer Day Camp offers a low Camper-to-Counsellor ratio environment for people of all disabilities to enjoy the camp experience. Although our ratio is low, we do not offer 1:1 support. Some campers do attend with 1:1 support provided by the family to enhance their camp experience.

Easter Seals NL Summer Day Camp has a routine daily structure to accommodate the needs of all our campers. Each week has a theme that activities will be designed within. There will be special guests, themed dress-up dates, and activities!

Day Camp will be offered during the 8 weeks of July and August, at Easter Seals, 206 Mt. Scio Road.

2024 Summer Day Camp registration is now open for the Waitlist only.

Weekly themes:

Listed below are the themes of each week. We will tailor specific activities during those weeks to align with the theme. Additionally, we are excited to welcome visitors from the community who specialize in each theme to share their expertise with our campers.

Week 1 (July 2nd – 5th) – Around the World and Beyond (World and Space)
Week 2 (July 8th – 12th) – Bippity Boppity Kapow! (Disney and SuperHeros)
Week 3 (July 15th – 19th) – Roar and Explore (Animals, Insects and Nature)
Week 4 (July 22nd – 26th) – Experiments and Explosions (Science)
Week 5 (July 29th – August 2nd) – Under the Sea (Water and Seas Creatures)
Week 6 (August 5th – 9th) – Paris 2024 (Sports)
Week 7 (August 12th – 16th) – Happy Holidays (Valentines, St Patricks, Easter, Halloween, Christmas)
Week 8 (August 19th – 23rd) – Music & Friends (Music, Dance and Talent Show)

Summer Day Camp registration process

**Please review the entire ESNL Summer Day Camp registration process before completing your registration.

The registration steps are as follows:

  1. All participants must complete an ACTIVE Registration. This serves as an
    expression of interest only for Summer Day Camp. Registration will
    close on May 15th at 12:00 p.m. noon. Participants can still be added to
    the waitlist after this time and will be considered if space becomes
    available.
  2. On May 16th, registrants will receive an email detailing the Next Steps.
    Registrants must complete the online form provided in the email and
    answer all questions in full.

    • An incomplete registration form will not be accepted as all
      information asked is required to ensure the best care for all
      participants.
    • Campers are accepted based on our Summer Camp Guidelines.
    • If one-on-one support is requested by ESNL, registration is not
      confirmed until confirmation of a one-on-one support worker is
      provided.
    • Payment will not be required until you receive confirmation of registration from ESNL.
  3. Completing an ACTIVE registration does not secure your spot for day camp. Once the Google form provided in the ‘Next Steps’ email is completed and reviewed by a Recreation Team Member, a Summer Day Camp confirmation email will be sent out to accepted participants.
  4. You will have 7 days from the date that you receive your confirmation email to confirm your payment, in accordance with the ESNL Day Camp Payment Policy.
  5. Once payment is received, you will be sent a final email confirming your spot at camp.

Registration cost and payment information

Day Camp registration cost: $125.00 per week

Payment must be completed in accordance with the ESNL Day Camp payment policy

**As per our payment policy, payment will not be required until you receive confirmation of registration from ESNL
**Once your spot is confirmed, payment must be confirmed within 7 days of camp confirmation to secure your spot

ESNL strives to accommodate as many campers as our capacity allows, campers are accepted based on the Summer Day Camp Acceptance Guidelines.

Remember, Easter Seals does not provide 1:1 support. If a camper requires 1:1 support, it is the responsibility of the camper’s family to provide that support.

All registrants must be members of ESNL and have completed a new member intake. If you have not completed an intake, please contact the Interim Recreation Programs Manager and Outreach Coordinator, Dayna Penney at dayna@eastersealsnl.ca.
