Sun Life Workplace Readiness Program

The Sun Life Workplace Readiness Program provides a $2,000 scholarship for students in Newfoundland and Labrador who identify as living with a disability and demonstrate financial need. Beyond financial support, successful applicants are paired with a mandatory volunteer mentor to receive personalized guidance and professional development as they prepare for the workforce 

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Resident of Newfoundland and Labrador
  • Living with a disability
  • Enrolled or planning to enroll in a post-secondary education program (university, college, vocational/trades) in Newfoundland and Labrador for the Fall 2026 semester
  • Participant of Easter Seals, past or present
  • In financial need 

Application Process:

To apply, please complete: Application Form

Upon receipt of your application, the following documents will be requested:

  1. Personal Letter: A one-page summary of your achievements, financial need, and any challenges you’ve overcome. Tell us why you’re a great fit!
  2. Disability Verification: If you’re new to Easter Seals, provide a note from a professional (like a doctor, teacher, or social worker) confirming your disability. No official diagnosis is needed.
  3. Proof of Enrollment: A document showing you are registered for a post-secondary program for Fall 2026.
