The Easter Seals Creative Expressions Music Program offers an opportunity for participants to create and share music based on their interests and abilities. This program is designed for individuals to express themselves through music whether that’s within a group session or private session.
Emily Locke-Martin and Jullianne Meaney are our wonderful instructors who have many years experience working in the music industry and with persons with disabilities. They always bring their amazing energy and enthusiasm to their classes!
Group sessions are offered in small group settings. As a group they learn fundamentals of music and rhythm. Students often have the opportunity to request songs and can express themselves within the group.
Individual sessions are available for those who prefer a private session, during these sessions the participant can set a goal they wish to work on whether it be a specific genre or instrument they wish to learn. As well some participants simply enjoy the quiet space learning rhythms and melodies.
Our goal is to provide persons of all ages with physical, cognitive, and any other disabilities with the opportunity to participate in programs and services that aim to build inclusion in Newfoundland and Labrador.LEARN MORE
