Call for a New Board Director – Areas of expertise: Legal with Real Estate experience
Easter Seals Newfoundland and Labrador (ESNL) is inviting expressions of interest from individuals who are interested in joining the Board of Directors in the volunteer role of Director.
About Easter Seals NL
Since 1937, Easter Seals Newfoundland and Labrador has been a leader in fostering accessibility and inclusion.

- Mission: To engage, inspire, and maximize opportunities for people with disabilities of all ages by providing meaningful programs and services.
Board of Directors
The ESNL Board of Directors is a volunteer governance board, which governs the organization through a Strategic Plan, Governance Policies and By-laws.
The principal expectations of all Board members include:
- Support ESNL’s Vision, Mission and Strategic Plan
- Participate in the development of Easter Seals strategic directions and policies, share their knowledge and bring forward important issues
- Serve a three-year term
- Attend 4 meetings a year (hybrid of in-person and online)
- Attend special meetings as required
- Be willing to eventually serve on the Executive and/or a sub-committee
- Be willing to lend support in their area of expertise on an as-needed basis
- Participate in special events when available
ESNL is seeking candidates in the . legal sector with a background in legal practice, corporate law, governance, nonprofit compliance, contracts, risk management, and real estate in particular.
Experience on not-for-profit boards in the not-for-profit or other corporate boards, combined with knowledge of and/or experience with board governance or in regulatory environments, and working with people with disabilities would be considered an asset.

New Board members will be appointed by the Board of Directors through an established appointment process.
